9/23/2023 0 Comments Anno 1800 tier 1 layout![]() ![]() I really like big City Layouts and normally play around this, so I tend to be type 2., but I find it hard to get to this point from the beginning, so here is what I do and where i see the advantages of it: Now it's easier to just produce all things metal there since I transport all the ore there anyway.Īlso, some buildings have insane maintenance in both workforce and upkeep (spectacle factory has 1.8k gold upkeep iirc), so having to build more of those because you don't have 200% efficiency would simply bankrupt me (I have low tax income from difficulty settings). I'm not really minmaxing, but I wanted to see the tourism mechanic, so decided to extract all the negative-attractive stuff off my main island. It doesn't show the ratio in game, though.Īnother cool thing is the items that change building inputs, like allowing bakeries to work dirextly with grain, removing the need for mills completely. You can get additional goods per input via other means - some items have this bonus. 1 pig every 20 seconds instead of every 30 seconds if you boost it up to 150% with trade unions. Since farms don't require input, you simply get stuff faster, i.e. Efficiency simply reduces processing cycle. Still I guess with it only saving a bit of workforce and costs it doesn't matter that much in an easy settings playthrough with the goal to create some cool looking islands not as much as going for minmaxing anything (though it always is an added bonus!). TBF I am not the biggest fan of creating an island designed solely for processing goods (except for the ore stuff, which I like to consolidate on one small island to get all their outputs in one place for easier management and the added bonus of keeping the pollution out of cities). ![]()
